  How Portable Air Conditioners Work (and Their Limits)

  Portable air conditioners are designed to cool one enclosed room at a time, such as a bedroom.

  Our units are rated to cool up to 30m². When used in a larger space — particularly open-plan living areas — the unit cannot remove heat fast enough, meaning the room will not cool, no matter how long it runs.

  This is a limitation of all portable air conditioners, not just our units.

  Window & Venting Requirements

  Portable air conditioners remove heat from the room and exhaust it outside through a hose.
  For this reason:

• A sliding window is essential

• The supplied window kit must be installed

• The exhaust hose must vent outdoors

• If the hot air is not vented outside, the unit will simply reheat the room.
